Beyond the venue... at the Galerie la Seigneurie

Texture, vibrant and brilliant colors, curves, fictional flora and abstract landscapes.

Beyond the place... is a solo exhibition that I am presenting at the La Seigneurie gallery in the Châteauguay cultural center from November 3 to 29, 2022.

An exhibition showcasing works inspired by my native region north of the 49th parallel. It is a logical continuation of my "Boreal Roots" exhibition in Chibougamau in the spring of 2022. I am deeply inspired by the richness of the soil, the vast expanses of water dotted with boreal forest, and by a wild, generous, and magnificent nature. I live far from my birthplace, and this distance allows me to reinvent it; creating allows me to reclaim it for myself.

As always, texture takes center stage in my paintings. The relief thus created showcases wild horizons, explosive lotuses, and aerial or heterogeneous perspectives of these spaces.

A large sculpture is erected in the space, symbolizing creative power, our openness to the world, and the desire to express ourselves.
